Computer Lab @ Nai Disha, New Delhi (2015-Current)
Shanti Gyan has partnered with Nai Disha to enhance its current education programs for underprivileged kids to include digital education. Raising funds and collecting used/new desktops, laptops, netbooks, webcams, and wifi routers and other necessary equipments, Shanti Gyan upgraded and built the computer lab and basic IT infrastructure.
In order to provide a quality computer based education – Shanti Gyan fundraised and donated a Projector with speakers so that Nai Disha can run online educational videos for the groups of students.
Shanti Gyan appointed a full time computer tutor for the teaching: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, AutoCAD, Tally (Financial Software), Adobe Photoshop, and Computer Programming.
Created a Shanti Gyan Laptop Scholarship program, where students who have graduated from Nai Disha and pursuing undergraduate education are entitled to apply to receive a personal laptop.
Shanti Gyan has successfully executed this pilot project for the past 2 years, and look forward to expanding it with other NGOs in India and USA.
